The first Eucharist of Christmas

St John's

St John’s is a Church of England church offering a warm and friendly welcome, taking to heart these words from Matthew’s gospel:

‘I was a stranger and you welcomed me.’ (Matthew 25)

We aim to offer God worthy worship, to grow in discipleship, to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to serve him in the community and the world in a spirit of inclusivity.

The Church of England/Anglicanism embraces many approaches to worship: we consider ourselves to represent the middle mainstream, with Eucharist at Sunday services.

The church is entirely surrounded by a beautiful circular churchyard, a peaceful oasis in the heart of the parish of Heaton Mersey.

We recognise that your belief and faith can change throughout life, sometimes accompanied by uncertainty:

We Welcome You.

If you simply wish to see what St John’s can offer, are returning after a period of absence or if you attend regularly:

We Welcome You.

We do not discriminate in any way on grounds of economic status, gender, health and physical ability, race or sexuality:

We Welcome You.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you.
