We would love to welcome you to Holy Rood Church on Moorside Road in Swinton where our Sunday Morning Service now starts at 10am; it's a service of Sung Eucharist i.e. Holy Communion to a sung setting with hymns, readings and prayers. Afterwards you are invited to join us in the Moorside Memorial Hall for coffee and conversation.
This year's Harvest Festival Service takes place at 10am on Sunday, 15th September 2024 as we give thanks that "all is safely gathered in". Members of our Uniformed Organisations will be in church with us. Harvest Gifts of any long life, non-perishable goods and toiletries will be appreciated and donated onwards to Salford Loaves And Fishes.
As always, the service will be followed by a chance for coffee and a chat in the Memorial Hall.
Please join us for Sacred Sanctuary: a time of contemplative prayer lit by candlelight on Friday, 18th October 2024. We meet in the quietness of the Lady Chapel at church at 6:45pm in readiness for a 7pm start. We will then meet again for more Sacred Sanctuary on Friday 15th November and Friday 13th December 2024.
Regular events at Holy Rood include:
Tuesday Afternoons: Line Dancing continues in the hall 1pm to 3pm ~ all are welcome including absolute beginners. The cost is £4 per session including tea, coffee and biscuits ~ well worth it for the fun and friendship.
Please note that the Wednesday Morning are taking a Summer Break: make a note of Wednesday 11th September when it will be Coffee Time again 10am - 11:30am! You will then be very welcome to join us in Holy Rood Memorial Hall every Wednesday during Term Time for an informal get together for coffee and chat.
