Join us for Candlemas hymns, a dramatised gospel reading, the blessing of candles and a procession. There’ll be refreshments after the service. Everyone is welcome.

Candlemas: a Christian festival held on 2 February to commemorate the purification of the Virgin Mary (after childbirth, according to Jewish law) and the presentation of Christ in the Temple. Candles were traditionally blessed at this festival.

St Nicholas

St Nicholas is Ickford's parish church, part of the united benefice of Worminghall with Ickford, Oakley and Shabbington in the Diocese of Oxford. Our services are at 10am every Sunday, except for the third Sunday of the month, when we start at 9am. You are most welcome.
