of mixed age and ethnicity.
Our mission statement is:
'All Saints' - a servant community; following Jesus; for the good
of the world'
All Saints' mission is focused on:
1. More Christians
2. Better (i.e. more effective, faithful, rooted) Christians
3. Living as a servant community
4. For the good of the world
(with acknowledgement to Brian McLaren 'The Church on the
Other Side')
Where:
More Christians describes our work of evangelism, outreach,
prayer, care, creativity, welcome and hospitality
Better Christians embraces our discipleship, worship, preaching,
teaching, intercession, stewardship and pastoral care and
openness to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Living as a servant community reflects our desire to
be an open, welcoming, spiritually vibrant, energetic, caring,
servant hearted, outward focused fellowship seeking to make
real our unity as Kingdom people: people sharing Eucharistic
fellowship
For the good of the world describes our intention to engage
positively with the local community of which we are a part,
challenging injustice, championing the cause of the poor and
marginalized, seeking reconciliation and healing, caring for the
environment and revealing Jesus' sacrificial love for a world God
created good.
Together we seek to be open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit
to realise our identity as agents of the Kingdom...
"What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love
mercy and to walk humbly with your God"
Micah 6:8
"When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes
and returned to his place. "Do you understand what I have done
for you?" he asked them. "You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and
rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and
Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one
another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I
have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than
his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent
him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you
do them.'
John 13:12-17
