Facilities and features
Accessibility
Parking lot is open for Sunday Masses. Since parking is limited, we encourage those without mobility issues to use the Springbridge Road multi-story car park, which is just a few minute's walk from the church.
Parking is alongside the south side of church, which is closest to step access through south porch or step free access through west doors (Dickens Yard entrance)
Step free access to the church is via the west doors, facing the Dickens Yard complex.
We have a limited number of large print Mass books.
Assistance dogs are welcome in our church.
Our Building
The church is all of one period, built on a new site in 1951 to the design of Sir George Gilbert Scott. The whole building is in an elaborate "middle pointed" Victorian Gothic style. It is listed Grade II*. It was altered and embellished in the early 20th Century by Scott's pupil and protégée, G.F. Bodley, at which time a cloister passage and vestry were added. The church was carefully restored in 1948 - 1950 after WWII bomb damage and retains many of its original fittings, decoration and character.
Music and Worship
Bells are rung before the 10:30am Mass on Sundays and upon request for weddings.
There is a large organ with a highly decorated case by Bodley in a gallery at the west end.
