Easter Sunday Parish Eucharist

Occurring
for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
St Michael and All Angels, Stonebridge
Address
Hillside Stonebridge London, NW10 8LB, United Kingdom

On Easter Sunday we have a Parish Eucharist at our usual Sunday time of 10:00 am. The format is also like a usual Sunday, with hymn singing and four Bible readings, followed by sermon and prayers, then Holy Communion. Whether you attend our church most Sundays or have never been before, you are very welcome on this key day in our church calendar as at any other time of the year.

On this special Easter Sunday we are also planning to admit some children to communion for the very first time. In our church we prepare children of around 7 or above whose families would like them to start receiving communion, and after classes in the faith they will be ready to join us all at the altar rail on Easter Sunday. So this is a time of great celebration!

Please note that the Church of England welcomes all who would normally receive the bread and wine (or just bread) in another church to come and receive with us. Everyone attending is welcome to come up to the altar rail for a prayer of blessing at this time.

NB: you may come very early on this day and join in the Parish Easter Breakfast that we hold between the Early Service and the 10 o'clock service: expect hot drinks, bacon rolls and hot cross buns. Chocolate will also be provided! So why not come at 8:30 or 9:00 for your breakfast?

St Michael and All Angels, Stonebridge

Welcome to the parish church of St Michael and All Angels, Stonebridge.

We are open every Sunday for a Parish Eucharist at 10:00am.  We sing hymns, hear four Bible readings and reflect on these, and then gather to share the bread and wine as Jesus tells us.

Our Sunday then continues with "Church on the Phone" at 1:30pm, where we hear the Bible readings set for Sunday and pray together. This service is audio only and can be accessed from any phone or landline for the cost of a call.

Midweek services are available: Morning Prayer, Wednesday Prayer Fellowship, Saturday Holy Communion and other activities .

Home visits and communion by extension have now resumed; if you would like a visit please call so that we can plan the safest way to interact. As the pandemic situation changes, we plan to extend our service offering in the buildings and continue to provide other ways for those who cannot attend in person to connect.

The parish of St Michael Stonebridge is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
