Solemn Mass - Sunday

The Solemn Mass is the principle act of worship at St Matthew's. With traditional hymns played from the organ, and incense filling the air, we lift our voices in adoration to Our Lord for all the good things he has done.

A Sunday School also runs during our service; children are most welcome to join in with all the activities we have in store.

Easter Vigil

Our Easter celebrations begin with the Vigil Mass. By most ancient tradition, this is the night of keeping vigil for the Lord, in which, following the Gospel admonition, the faithful, carrying lighted lamps in their hands, should be like those looking for the Lord when he returns, so that at his coming he may find them awake and have them sit at his table. Come and join us then in what is the greatest celebration of the Church’s year!
