On Tuesday 17th March this year, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York called on churches to close for public worship, as a positive response to seek to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
However, the Archbishops also called on us to seek to become, ‘a different sort of church in these coming months: hopeful and rooted in the offering of prayer and praise and overflowing in service to the world.’
On Sunday 22nd March this year, the London Bishops instructed clergy in the city to close all church buildings. Our response to this challenge is an evolving one, and will continue to change as circumstances change.
We will be producing video material to support people as they pray and worship in their own homes.
The videos will be uploaded to our YouTube channel, and there will also be links via Facebook and Twitter:
