The Triduum concludes as we gather in the darkness outside the Church. The new fire is lit as a sign of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. From this new fire the Paschal (Easter) Candle is lit and brought into Church and Jesus’ risen glory proclaimed in the ‘Exsultet’. After a brief sequence of readings we celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter, before going back outside for fireworks and an Easter party!
