Join the clergy of St Philips Church for a six-week series of Lent Talks on the book Women of Holy Week By Paula Gooder.

The events of the Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension are retold through the eyes of female characters as the author imagines them accompanying Jesus
during these momentous days.

Each story brings to life the tension, drama and shock of the events of Holy Week,
banishing any over-familiarity and helping readers enter into the Passion narrative in a deeper,
more meaningful way. The stories are for all who long to encounter Jesus afresh through the Easter Story.

St Philip's, Earl's Court Road

St Philip's is a welcoming and friendly Anglican church in Kensington, bordering Earl’s Court. We have many young families with children, but a few of us are in our 90s! Most of us live in the neighbouring streets. We celebrate our faith, but have plenty of room for those with questions and don’t discourage them.

Church services: Sundays: Our main service is at 10.30am on a Sunday morning. The third Sunday of each month (during term time) is the All Age ServiceMondays & Tuesdays: 8.00 am Morning Prayer (except Bank Holidays). Wednesdays: 8.30 am Morning Prayer, 12.30 pm Holy Eucharist followed by discussion and fellowship and refreshments.

Community activities: Monday: Bible Study in Church 2.30 -3.30pm. Come and join our (informal) discussion - usually on the next week's Sunday Service Bible readings. Thursday: Monthly coffee morning (second sunday of the month) from 10 - 11am at The Scarsdale Tavern, Edwardes Square. W8 6HE. Saturday: Monthly SPECR film club. See website for details
