Join the clergy of St Philips Church for a six-week series of Lent Talks on the book Women of Holy Week By Paula Gooder.

The events of the Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension are retold through the eyes of female characters as the author imagines them accompanying Jesus 
during these momentous days.

Each story brings to life the tension, drama and shock of the events of Holy Week, 
banishing any over-familiarity and helping readers enter into the Passion narrative in a deeper, 
more meaningful way. The stories are for all who long to encounter Jesus afresh through the Easter Story.

Holy Eucharist 12.30pm followed by reflection and fellowship.

10.30am Holy Eucharist. A warm welcome to you if you’re visiting St Philip’s either in person or online via zoom, as we enter the most holy of weeks on this Palm Sunday. The service includes the blessing and distribution of Palms, and a reading of The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Tenebrae is a quiet prelude to Easter Day which helps us identify with the darkness and loss felt by Jesus’ followers as they experienced his death.

Join us at 10.30am on Holy Saturday, 19 April, for our interactive journey through Easter. EVERYONE welcome!

We join together with the church down the ages, passing from darkness to light, as we mark the journey from the emptiness of Holy Saturday, to the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection. We begin with the lighting of the new Paschal candle and the singing of the Exultet, before keeping the ancient vigil. We will then welcome new members in Baptism followed by the first Mass of Easter.

Join us at 10.30am for our Family-friendly Easter Choral Eucharist service and lighting of the Paschal Candle. The service is followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. Mass stetting: Krönungsmesse K. 317 - W. A. Mozart (Mozart Coronation Mass)
