St Mary the Virgin, Isleworth

Over many years St Mary's has been a place where people have come, found refuge, friendship and met with God.

Today we describe St Mary's as being about 'Sanctuary'

Firstly a Sanctuary as a place where hurting people find refuge are cared for and loved. Secondly a Sanctuary as a place where we find it easy to meet with God. Thirdly we aim to become Sanctuary's for our families, workplaces, and communities as through us people find peace and experience the kindness of Jesus.

Safeguarding

Our parish of St John the Baptist with St Mary the Virgin, Isleworth is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO on 07989 350896 or [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
