Every Thursday throughout Lent, we'll be reading and discussing the Archbishop of Canterbury's Lent book for 2024 which is Tarry Awhile by Selina Stone.
The overarching theme of the book is given in its subtitle: Wisdom from black spirituality for people of faith. Dr Stone has penetrating, wise insights that come from her being embedded in Black Pentecostal worship and spirituality, a deep academic and inclusive understanding of scripture; and great experience of community development among the poor and excluded.
