This Lent we are again inviting you to our Lent discussion groups, to be held each Monday evening at 7.30pm for five weeks beginning on 19th February.

In the scriptures many significant events happened on hilltops - the receiving of the Ten Commandments, the giving of the Beatitudes, the Transfiguration, the Crucifixion and the Ascension.

These pinnacle moments of God's revelation of who He is call us to travel to such places in our prayer, there to encounter what He would have us know about who He is and how He would have us live.

Even if you have never come to our previous Lent courses, please do join us on these Monday evenings. The sessions will start with an introductory talk, then we will split into groups where you can just listen or take part. We will then break for refreshments after which we will come back to share our thoughts and conclude with a short time of prayer.

It would be marvellous to see you there!

St Mary's Twickenham

St Mary's is a welcoming and inclusive church where we hope people coming for the first time will feel at home. We welcome people of all ages to any of our services. St Mary's has signed up to 'Inclusive Church'.

St Mary's is a church which seeks to:

* Use our buildings more effectively to help make God more real for the people of this area.

* Nurture our relationships with God and with each other.

* Nurture our children and young people with a positive sense of God

Our Services and events that are organised by St Mary's are shown on this website. We are delighted that many outside organisations use our church and hall to serve the wider community - details of other events hosted at St Mary's can be found  on our own website: https://www.stmarytwick.org.uk

The parish of St Mary the Virgin Twickenham is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers, PSOs. The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
