Rooted in Faith - Open in Thought - Reaching out in Service
As members of Inclusive Church, we seek to be an inclusive community of people who want to know God better, love one another more faithfully, and welcome all people regardless of age, ethnic or social background, sexual orientation or gender into the life of the church and the fellowship of Jesus. St Mary's PCC has voted to make available prayers of blessing for same sex couples, according to the House of Bishops' Pastoral Guidance and to use stand alone liturgies of blessing when they become available for use.
We are a Eucharist based church in the best central Anglican tradition. The church is open daily for private prayer, and morning and evening prayer are said at 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday - Friday.
Our Sunday services are 8am BCP Holy Communion and 10.30am Parish Eucharist. Sunday School takes place in the church hall on the first and third Sunday each month in term time.
There is a Parent and Baby/Toddler group (in term time) on the first and third Wednesday of the month in Church, 10 - 11.30am. A chance to connect with other local parents over tea/ coffee while babies make faces and friends.
On Fridays in term time, the Second Half Club meets for exercise classes. Come for Tea / Coffee from 10am, then join the classes from Open Age: 10.45 - 11.45am Pilates, 12noon Chair Exercises (classes cost £1).
