Summer Music Festival

After the success of last year, our Summer Music Festival returns this year with a vast breadth of talent and musicians offering free concerts with some paid for concerts too. We are still finalising the programme but we have started releasing some of the artists who have confirmed on our webpage which will be updated as and when we have confirmed more artists - https://hsl.church/summer-music-festival

Programme:
Week 1 - 1st to 5th August
Tuesday 1st August -Thursday 3rd August

We are pleased to be a host venue for the Royal College of Organists Summer Course for various sessions between 1st-3rd August.

Tuesday 1st August

7.30pm 'Wild Hearts' (Wrathful women and amorous men in opera) Opera with Naomi Lidiard and Megan Artemova-Thomas.

Wednesday 2nd August

6.30pm - Ragaria with Patricia Rozario OBE, Baluji Shrivastav OBE, Oscar Castellino and Mark Troop. Popular opera arias with Indian instruments (Figario with an Indian flourish!) and music from the world’s first Urdu opera Sohini and Mahival composed by Baluji Shrivastav OBE.

Thursday 3rd August

7.30pm Violetta’s Summer Gala with the Opera Makers.

12.15pm Duparc Song with Sarah Anne Champion- Mezzo-soprano and Elizabeth Stock - Soprano.

2pm Summer Strings with virtuoso Inner Vision duo - Abi Baker (violin/piano) & Takashi Kikuchi (viola).

Thursday 10th August

12.15pm Didi (classical guitar) accompanied by Howard Sarna (rock guitar).

2pm Emmanuel Bach (Viola recital with acc. piano)

Wednesday 16th August

1pm Healing Ragas with Baluji Shrivastav OBE. This performance will be followed by an artist ‘meet & greet’ at 2pm.

2pm Arculo Consort of Viols

Holy Sepulchre London

Welcome to Holy Sepulchre London, the National Musicians’ Church. We are a vibrant Anglican church in the City of London, with a vision of seeking the presence of God in the church, for our City and the world. We are passionate about social action in our community and have many connections with charities in the City and further afield. Our Priest-in-Charge, Revd. Nick Mottershead, is the co-ordinator for The Square Mile Hygiene Bank and GenerosCity. 

We have 3 regular services on Sundays 10.30am (Contemporary worship service), Tuesdays 1.15pm (informal service on zoom) and Wednesdays 1pm (Sung Eucharist or Choral Evensong). Tuesdays are currently online only but Wednesdays we are running mixed mode with in person, live-streaming with the recording available later in the day.
