We are delighted to announce the launch of the new St Michael’s website. The Reverend Henry Eatock-Taylor, our Priest-in-Charge, says, ‘An attractive website is not the key to developing a successful ministry, but it helps. I am thrilled with how our new website shows clearly what we are committed to at St Michael’s Cornhill. I pray it will give confidence to those considering joining us; and equip the rest of us to invite friends to join us.' We shall retain our A Church Near You website - St Michael Cornhill - A Church Near You – but the content will not be updated and visitors will be directed to the new site. The site was developed by Tom Underhill and uses Wordpress.
Our recitalists this month are Jonathan Rennert, our Director of Music; Makoto James, our Assistant Organist; Charlies Francis from St Peter’s Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton; and Benjamin Newlove of St Alfege, Greenwich.The featured composers include Reger and Bach.
Our popular Advent Carols by Candlelight service will be at 6pm on Tuesday 6 December.The service will include choral items by Francisco Guerrero, Thomas Weelkes, Handel, Sir Charles Villiers Stanford, Morten Lauridsen and Edmund Hooper - performed by our robed choir - and will be followed by seasonal refreshments.Bring friends, family members and colleagues.The service is in association with the Guild of Young Freemen of the City of London.
