Welcome to St Bartholomew the Less

It is called “Less” just to distinguish it from its larger neighbour, The Great. The Less is a chapel of ease within the Parish of Great St Bartholomew, and has a close relationship with St Bartholomew’s Hospital, situated as it is within the hospital grounds (inside the Henry VIII gate entrance in West Smithfield).

The church is open every day 08:00–19:00

We welcome all visitors. You are invited to spend time in the church in personal prayer whenever the church is open. If you have any special prayer requests, please write them in the blue book at the back of church. They will then be read out at the Eucharist on Tuesday lunchtimes.

Sundays

We celebrate a friendly, family-styled Eucharist every Sunday at 10:00 with hymns and organ accompaniment.

Children of all ages are especially welcome to this service with their families and are encouraged to take part, even noisy toddlers!
