About Us

St Stephen's is home to JEDS Pantry, a partnership between all four churches within the parish; St Stephen's, Whelley, St John's, New Springs, St Elizabeth's, Aspull and St David's, Haigh. Alongside this we also offer a warm and welcoming space where a warm lunch is offered on a pay-as-you-feel basis. 

St Stephen's has good links with people and organisations within local community in and around Whelley, most notably through our partnership working with Canon Sharples Church of England Primary School. 

On the first Sunday of the month we join with all the other churches in the parish at 10am

Then on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month there is a more traditional communion service at 11am

And on the 3rd Sunday we have an 'all age' slightly more informal service at 11am
