St Nathaniel's, Platt Bridge

St Nathaniel’s, the parish church of Platt Bridge, has seen growth over the last few years, with a heart for mission to its community centred on its Food Pantry that meets weekly. It also hosts the Next Generation worshipping community Come+See that serves the needs of young adults and regularly reaches out to the young people of the local estate. Its warm welcome and informal style of worship helps it connect with a widening spectrum of ages.

St Nathaniel's Parish Church takes its duty and obligation to protect all extremely seriously. We have adopted the national Church of England's robust procedures and guidelines.

Safeguarding

The parish of Wigan East is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Liverpool’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA: https://liverpoolcofe.org/safeguarding-matters/. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
