Everyone is invited to the Winwick Deanery Fit for Mission Open Event, come along to hear how, through the Fit for Mission journey, other churches have shaped their new parish to meet the needs of their unique communities and diverse churches. Archdeacon Simon, the Fit for Mission team, and people from churches who have started or completed the journey, will share what happens during the Fit for Mission journey.

Date: Wednesday 21st May.
Time: 7:30pm (Refreshments at 7pm)
Venue: St. Peter’s Church, Newton-le-Willows, WA12 9SU.

St Oswald's

St Oswald's is a friendly church and we would love to welcome you. The church building stands at the centre of the village of Winwick on raised ground, welcoming all who pass through. There is evidence that the Christian faith has been here for over 1,000 years and continues today. The Church building is mentioned in the Domesday Book and the church is an integral part of the area's history and community.

On the 29/02/2024, Reverend Martin Cox was appointed Priest-in-Charge at St. Oswald’s Church, Winwick, plus Rector of Christ Church, Croft and Newchurch Parish Church, Culcheth. 

Sunday Services of Worship - up to the end of April 2025.

Sunday 6th April,  10:30am - Passion Sunday -  Joint Holy Communion by Rev. Martin Cox and Katy Berry.

Sunday 13th April, 10.30 am - Palm Sunday - Holy Communion  by Rev Pat Gray

Sunday 20th April, 10.30am - Easter Sunday - Holy Communion  by Rev Trevor Hodson and Rev Alan Litton.

Sunday 27th April, 10.30am - Holy Communion by Rev Alan Litton and Rev Trevor Hodson. 

Unless otherwise stated services will be at St. Oswald’s Church, Winwick.

Joint services are held at:

Christ Church, Lady Lane, Croft, WA3 7AU

Newchurch Parish Church, Church Lane, Culcheth, WA3 5ET
