A joint service of remembrance at Newchurch Parish Church, Church Lane, Culcheth, Warrington, WA3 5ET.
Each year at Newchurch a service is held to remember loved ones who have died.
Families who have had a funeral service in Newchurch, Christ Church or St Oswald’s or at a crematorium during the year will be invited to this service by letter. Those who have had a service of interment of ashes during the year will also be invited to attend. The names will be read out of all those who have had such services since October 2022.
The service will be one of hymns, readings, prayers, music and the lighting of candles as names are read out.
We will have a ‘Tree of Remembrance’ with leaves showing the names of those who have died this year.
We all know the heart-ache of losing a loved one, and how such a loss can be painful beyond words. Within the service we pray for those living with loss, asking that with God’s help we all may find hope and strength for the future.
This service is open to anyone who wishes to attend. If you would like the name of a loved one reading out at this service then please email Pat Gray - [email protected] or add your loved ones name to the list in the Porch at Newchurch.
