ECO CHURCH

We are being encouraged to become eco churches and take part in the award scheme... Eco Church: A Rocha UK’s award scheme for churches in England and Wales who want to demonstrate that the gospel is good news for God’s earth.

Fairtrade Fortnight is 27th February -11th March. Fairtrade is a global movement with a strong and active presence in the UK represented by the Fairtrade Foundation. Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms for farmers and workers in the developing world.
The PCCs are looking at registering to become Fairtrade Churches. This means we will use Fairtrade products wherever possible like tea, coffee and sugar. Many of our supermarkets now stock Fair Traded products. Can you make a difference?! Further details from https://www.fairtrade.org.uk

Batteries: Wherever you buy your batteries you can take them back for them to recycle them. Morrisons also has a container for them!
