What is the Friends of Holy Trinity Bickerstaffe?
The Friends of Holy Trinity Bickerstaffe are members of our local community who have come from different walks of life. Members care for the upkeep and maintenance for our local church. These funds specifically are designated for building & churchyard repairs & maintenance for the historical building, church bells, perimeter walls, graves, and much more! Ensuring it is safeguarded and stewarded for the benefit of future generations.
Everyone in our local community wishes to see our beautiful church can continue its mission to provide comfort and care to our local community, to be there when we are needed most, and to provide a place of comfort in an ever-changing world.
The church’s vision is to provide spiritual, pastoral, and social support to all those who live in the parish! We are a lively, friendly, and welcoming church family who creatively provide both contemporary and traditional expressions of worship & ministry.
You do not have to belong to any Church or Denomination to qualify to become a new Member of the Friends of Bickerstaffe. You simply can donate to the church as you would do with any charity.
The Church’s History
The Church was built in 1843 and enlarged in 1860. Since then, there has been thousands of funerals, weddings, and baptisms in the church.
The Community
The church is used not just on Sunday but for a wide range of other community activities/events. But we need your help to keep the church going as the heart of the community!
The best way to see what we do and who we are is to visit us on Sundays! Our services start at 11am, make sure to sign up to our local bulletin to keep up with the church & community news.
