Long Lane Aughton, L39 5AS, United Kingdom

The media is full of concerns about global warming a d climate change, and many of us are individually taking measures to reduce the harmful effects we have in our environment. Over the years we have made decisions at Christ Church that are better for the environment, however we want to take a more proactive approach to caring for the environment as stewards of God’s creation and because of the injustice associated with climate change. Therefore, our PCC has decided we should sign up as an Eco Church an work with the Diosese to achieving The Church of England Net Carbon Zero by 2030 (NCZ2030).

You can learn more about being an Eco Church at
https://ecochurch.arocha.org.uk including details of the 5 areas that will be covered and the Eco Survey which we will be completing to see where we currently stand as a church. You can register on this website and link to Aughton Christ Church to find out much more about it.
We are setting up a group in church to take the lead on this. We would love those who feel particularly drawn to this concern to join us. We are keen to get as many as possible in church involved in this vital work. We have arranged a meeting on Wednesday 19th July at 7.30pm in the Ministry Centre with Annie Merry from Liverpool Diocese to learn more about it and to start on the road to earning our bronze award as an Eco church. All are welcome to attend. Any Any further questions, please speak to Sarah or email Rikki [email protected]. Join us!
