Fit for Mission (FFM) aims to support every deanery in the Diocese of Liverpool to create their own future:

- Encourage mission and planting of new worshipping communities.
- Share finance, admin and building management between churches to free up people for mission.
- Encourage greater working together and sharing resources.

To learn more about FFM, including access to important documents, go to the 'News and notices' section.

In addition to reading these documents, all church members are encouraged to pray. We know that when we pray it makes a difference and we would want to pray that God helps us discern a way forward for our church, community and deanery. To this end, we encourage you to join our whole church prayer meetings on April 3 and May 15 at 12 noon or 7 pm.

Also, as part of a global wave of prayer ('Thy Kingdom Come: May 18-28, 2023;) we will join with our friends from St. James Westhead, Holy Trinity Bickerstaff and St. Michael's Aughton for 24 hours of prayer for Fit for Mission, starting at 8 pm pm Thursday, May 25 until 7 pm on Friday, May 26. You can sign-up for an hour time slot at the link below.

Finally, please pray for our Parochial Church Council (PCC) who will be asked to make a decision in the autumn, and for our clergy who have been asked to engage heavily in this process.

If you have any questions about FFM, please speak to a member of our PCC.

In all this we ask for God's will to be done and His kingdom to come. We know He has really blessed the work at Christ Church Aughton and because He is faithful, He will continue to do this.
