We invite you to join us for our all-age service when we celebrate Palm Sunday, to commemorate when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Although the people cried, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” and greeted Him with anxious expectation, by Friday, they would crucify Him. One week after Jesus entered Jerusalem was the Resurrection of Christ when He first appeared to the myrrh-bearing women. We will celebrate His resurrection on Easter Sunday.

On Maundy Thursday from 7:30 - 8:30 pm, Holy Communion and foot washing will take place in the Ministry Centre, moving into Church for the final part of the service.

Maundy Thursday commemorates the Washing of the Feet and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, preceded by Ash Wednesday and followed by Good Friday.

Join us at the clock tower for a service of witness with other Ormskirk churches, starting at noon.

Join us for a time of prayer and reflection in church, as we reflect on the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

This service follows the modern Common Worship service pattern with two Bible readings, traditional hymns and a sermon. All Christians are welcome to receive communion which is currently given in the form of a wafer dipped in a cup of wine. For those who require a gluten free wafer, there is a separate cup. If you prefer the wafer only, let a member of the clergy know as you approach the chancel.

Coffee will be available between 10:00 and 10:35 am. This is a great opportunity for those who attend the 9:00 am service to stay for a chat with each other and with those who are attending the 10:45 am gathering. If you're new to Christ Church, this is also a great opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know the friendly church family.

NOTE: During this service, we will be accepting financial gifts toward building maintenance projects. Join our lively, all age gathering to worship and learn more about how we can follow Jesus. Music is led by our talented worship band, with song lyrics projected onto two screens at the front.

Part-way through our gathering, children and youth go to their respective groups.
