Join us at this poignant service to remember those who lost their lives to protect ours.

Please note that the 3 roads leading to the Memorial (from Lunt, Maghull and the Brooms Cross Road) will be closed to traffic between approx. 10.45am and 11.10am.

This service will take place in church after a brief service at the Memorial on Bridges Lane.
We will be serving refreshments after the service.

We meet every Monday except for Bank Holidays and the Christmas and New Year period to tidy up the church and graveyard and do other simple tasks.
If you feel able to help our group of volunteers, we would be very grateful. After our hard work we always enjoy tea/coffee and biscuits together and a good chat!
A member of the ministry team will be available from 11am should you wish to chat with them or have any queries.

Please come and join us on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 10am – 12pm. You can purchase any items from their menu. Some of us have delicious breakfasts but many just have a hot drink - it's up to you! Due to the popularity of this event we have now decided to make this a monthly occasion with the following dates:
11th November and 9th December. All are welcome – please bring a friend.

Our children’s group provides a supportive environment for young people to build friendships, explore their faith, and engage in social and craft activities. We would encourage anyone between the ages of 5 and 15 to attend. We aim to help young people feel connected, valued, and empowered while offering a safe space outside of school and home.
Any questions: please contact Rev Jackie Parry.
Access is via the rear door of the church nearest to the car park.

Please note: There is a fairly flat access to the altar area. Communion can be brought to your pew if requested. Hearing loop is installed.
Please note that where it states that this service will not take place on certain dates it is because a special service (which may include Holy Communion) will be taking place on that particular day eg 5th April will be Easter Day Holy Communion.
Please check Calendar for more details.

We are hoping you will join us, as we hope the service will:
Enable different ages to contribute to worship together;
Make worship more accessible to people who do not feel able to attend church regularly and to our many visitors provide a change in our usual pattern of services;
Will be suitable for all-adult congregations as well as young people.
For those families who have busy lives it is shorter in length than a usual Sunday Service.

This is a celebratory family event that takes place in thousands of churches and schools across the country, raising funds that help the Children's Society to continue their work supporting young people. Christingle celebrations are named after the "Christingles" (oranges with a candle) that are lit and given out to everyone present during the service. The orange is a symbolic object as Christingle means 'Christ Light' and is used to celebrate Jesus Christ as the "Light of the World".

Join us for a meaningful Christmas Morning Prayer service focusing on our gratitude for the birth of Jesus and inviting peace into our homes over the holiday season.

If you are unable to join us please say this prayer at Christmas:
Father in Heaven, on this joyful morning, we thank you for the wonder of your arrival and the gift of eternal life through Christ. Lord Jesus, as we celebrate your birth, fill our hearts with your peace and let your light shine through our words and actions today. Close the doors of hate and open the doors of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Be with our families and friends. Comfort the lonely, heal the sick, and draw near to anyone who struggles this day. May this Christmas morning make us happy to be your children, and bring us to our rest tonight with grateful, forgiving, and forgiven hearts.
Amen

The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning ‘completion’ (completorium). It is above all a short service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day.

We welcome all baptisms of children or adults. Baptism is an outward sign of us expressing a belief in the God who loves us, it is a sign of belonging to God’s family and it is a beginning to get to know more about God.

Our service of baptism is usually held during our morning service (11am) on the 4th Sunday of the month. There is no charge for the service but we always welcome a donation on the collection plate.

The Deanery Synod meets to share issues of concern to the deanery, debate items emerging from parishes or referred by the Diocesan or General Synods and to develop the Deanery Mission Plan in the spirit of our diocesan Growth Agenda.
