MUSIC: Our musical traditions includes an annual week-long Music Festival starting at the end of June each year, seasonal concerts, and wonderful church music each Sunday, led most weeks by the church choir and augmented on special occasions by 'The Nicholas' Singers - Community Choir'. Our much admired Norman and Beard church organ can be heard each Sunday played by our excellent Director of Music and Organist, Michael Foy. Mike also directs the St. Nicholas Singers, our community choir, whose concert starts the annual music festival. (no audition necessary).
CHURCH SCHOOL: St. Nicholas C of E Primary School
HERITAGE: The Grade II Listed Church Building has much to offer including many stained glass windows including a rose window dedicated to the regiments of service men who served in WWI, with accompanying side windows of War and Peace. Among many beautiful stained glass windows reflecting bible stories, we also have a stained glass window by Charles Kemp (William Morris connections). Thanks to a recent HLF grant we have restored much of the building including the windows on north and south side of church.
CHURCH HALLS: The large and small halls are well used and provide a much needed community facilities for a number of local groups. and can be hired for private events.
