WELCOME TO HUYTON PARISH CHURCH
CHURCH ACCESSIBILITY
Huyton Parish Church is located on the corner of Bluebell Lane and Huyton Lane. Due to the historic nature of the church access, particularly for people living with disabilities which affect their walking is extremely difficult. The difficulties in accessing the church from the street and within the building itself is high on our agenda and we hope that in the not too distant future most of the present difficulties regarding access will be resolved.
FAMILY OCCASIONS If you are planning a family occasion - Baptism, Wedding or a Funeral and someone in your party has special needs, please inform the vicar at the time of booking and we will do all we can to accommodate you
CAR PARKING The church does not have a car park but on Sundays. cars can be parked in Stanley Road and other side roads in the area. At other times there are two car parks within easy walking distance. Asda car park can be accessed from Huyton Lane and the other can be accessed from Arch Way Road. Wheelchair users and other people who have difficulties may find space on the layby on Huyton Lane close to the church. This is not an official parking space.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ Due to the historic nature of the church there are some access issues when getting from the pavement into the church grounds which may present some difficulties for people with disabilities. It is possible for people to gain entry into the church grounds for manual wheelchair uses as portable ramps are available for use on the steps leading up from Bluebell Lane. A helper would be needed to aid visitors requiring access. Please phone the Parish Office on 0151 449 3900 for further advice on wheelchair access.
