God our Father,
you led your chosen people through the desert
in a pillar of cloud by day and of fire by night:
grant us your peace and the knowledge of your walking alongside us,
that in the complexities and confusions of this present moment
each of us may grow in faith, love and service
and come safely into the future you have prepared for us,
In your risen Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
