About Us
We are an Anglican Christian community, worshipping in - and working from - nine churches, in villages across the Wolds and the Marsh.
The church of All Saints, Legbourne serves as the hub for our group of rural churches, and we work closely with the parish of Louth to meet the needs, spiritual and material, of God's people here.
"The parish of Strubby Wold Marsh: St Oswald is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lincoln’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
The image of the Holy Spirit descending as a dove is taken from a stained glass window in All Saints’ Church, Legbourne. It reminds us of God’s powerful presence among us. It also reminds us of our need for one another: the outline of our parishes, when grouped together, looks like a bird with outstretched wings. All of our churches bring particular gifts, but it is only by working together that we can really take off!
The quotation about ‘bringing the good news of the kingdom of God’ is taken from the Gospel of Luke, chapter 8. It describes the ministry of Jesus Christ amongst the villages of ancient Israel. It is our sacred duty and joy to continue his work, aided by the Spirit, in the villages of Lincolnshire.
Please do visit our Churches, which we try to keep open.
You are particularly welcome to join us and the angels in worship:
