Our Building
Mainly 19th century glass .Descriptive leaflet available in visitors informationa file.
Sundays 12 noon until 4 p.m. after morning service
Wednesdays 10.a.m. until 4 p.m.
Grade 1 listed . Original structure Nave and Tower built 11th /12th century.
Extensive reorganisation including construction of North aisle with additional seating in 1869/70.
Organ chamber and vestry added early 1900’s.
Furthermajor works undertaken in late 1995-2000 including:-
1. Base of tower area remodelled to provide limited kitchen facility, unisex toilet ,storage
2. Additional floor installed in tower to provide a new ringing chamber.
3 . Permanent staircase installed to provide safer access to new ringing chamber .Ringing position and chiming frame for 5 Bells re-sited from ground floor to new ringing chamber.
4. Complete replacement of heating system with new radiators and relocationof anew gas boiler.
5.All pews at rear of nave and north aisle removed to aid circulation . new set of folding chairs made available for extra seating if required..
6. Choir vestry at rear of north aisle remodelled and enlarged with new access door. New wardrobe and storage cupboards fitted.
Music and Worship
Five bell ring together with Sixth Pancake bell. Chiming frame available allowing single person chiming facility,
Occasional concerts both indoor and. outdoor
Two manual keyboards plus foot pedals frame .Electric blower
All services use common worship . Separate seasonal service booklets. Weekly service and notices sheet.
Groups, Courses and Activities
Every Thursday morning 10.30am until 12 noon ,following Thought for the Day service held at 10.00 am
Annual church garden party in front and rear churchyard .
Group meets every Wednesday afternoon in Church hall during school term times 2.00 until 4.00 pm
Independent registered Pre school operates in Church hall four and a half days every week during school term time.
