Getting here
St Andrew's Immingham has a light, warm and prayerful atmosphere. Although the biuilding is over 800 years old, we have a flexible space, a modern heating system, toilet and a refreshment area. We extend a welcome to all who visit us.
The Parish Priest is Revd Julie Donn assisted by Revd Jon Glossop, Assistant Priest (OLM) and three lay ministers. Our worship pattern, following Common Worship, as of August 2017 is:
1st Sunday of each month
- 10:30 am Holy Toast. Family friendly, informal worship, led by Reverend Julie with a craft activity and, of course, beginning with Toast.
- 6 pm Reflective Communion Service.
2nd, 3rd, 4th, and any 5th, Sunday of each month
10:30 am Holy Communion
Wednesday 10 am - Morning Prayer - usually lay led.
Occasionally there are changes to this pattern, and extra services or events. These are usually advertised and can be found by clicking on the Services and Events tab above and clicking the Calender of forthcoming services and events towards the bottom of that page.
The churchyard is closed except for the burial of ashes. (Immingham Cemetery can be found in nearby Mill Lane).
First recorded as on land given by the Percy Family to the Nunns of Nunn Appleton near Tadcaster, our 800 year old history holds many surprises. There is a monument to the Pilgrim Fathers in the park opposite the church. Some passed through the area on their first outbound trip to Holland and, by tradition, stopped by the church.
