Water, water everywhere, nor any a drop to drink, as Coleridge’s Ancient Mariner told us, seems an apt quotation this weekend. As I look out of the window, the Great Ouse has reached Well Street and I know there is flooding in several areas of Lenborough. Meanwhile, I see from Facebook that the domestic water supply has been badly affected, certainly in Padbury and I am not sure where else. Hopefully, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
There is just one service in the Benefice which is Holy Communion at St Mary’s, Padbury at 10.30 am.
Don’t forget that it is Pancake Day on Tuesday. Lent begins on Wednesday when at 12 noon at St Mary’s, Revd Asa Humphreys will celebrate Holy Communion with the Imposition of Ashes, followed by a Ploughman’s Lunch.
DO JOIN US AT EITHER OF BOTH, IF YOU ARE ABLE.
