About Us

St Nicholas Church was built approximately 1000AD on the foundations of a previous Church. It was built by men of faith as witness to the Christian presence in the Village.

There was a Church and Priest on site before the Domesday Survey in 1086, there is no visible trace of the original building but the Font which stands in the West end of the South Aisle, most likely came from the original church.
