Shrove Tuesday (also known as Pancake Day) is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent. Lent is a time of penance and of fasting and giving up things leading up to Easter and traditionally Shrove Tuesday is the last opportunity to use up eggs and fats before any period of fasting begins, and pancakes are a perfect way to use up these ingredients. Come and join us for a sweet or savoury pancake in a lovely atmosphere, all are welcome whether Church goer or not. It would be lovely to see you.
