Welcome to St Mary's Church - Knaith.

Described as "odd but delightful" with stunning views of the River Trent. St Mary's curious appearance reflects an intriguing and calamitous history. The church dates from around the 12th century and has interesting features including a superb Gothic font, fine Jacobean pulpit with tester, charmingly rustic medieval pew ends, and an unusual altar Baldacchino.

St Mary's Church - Knaith is taking part in the Festival on the First Weekend of the Festival - Saturday the 10th and Sunday 11th of May, and is open from 10.00am to 4pm on both days. You are assured of a warm and friendly welcome to our unique Church in its stunning setting by the side of the mighty River Trent.

Refreshments and lots of cake will be available, along with a free guided tour and an amazing history, including tales of intrigue and fortunes won and lost, calamity and tragedy. We are a dog friendly church, dogs on leads are most welcome. Oh, and did I mention - lots of cake!

Plenty of free off road car parking is available close to our church. Look out for the Festival Banners at the entrance to the estate off the A156 road in the village of Knaith. The church is not visible from the main A156 road, we are a hidden gem close to the river.
