St Mary

Welcome to St Mary's Church - Knaith.

Described as "odd but delightful" with stunning views of the River Trent. St Mary's curious appearance reflects an intriguing and calamitous history. The church dates from around the 12th century and has interesting features including a superb Gothic font, fine Jacobean pulpit with tester, charmingly rustic medieval pew ends, and an unusual altar Baldacchino.

You are warmly welcome to any of our services. Access to our church is restricted at other times, but please call the following keyholder contact telephone numbers, they will be happy to assist in arranging access or providing you with further information:

A free guided tour is also available, please contact as above.

The parish of Knaith: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, (PSO). The Diocese of Lincoln’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
