COVID-19: CORONA VIRUS - UPDATES
6th January, 2021
Although Churches are allowed to open for communal worship during the current lockdown, in view of the possible risks to the congregation and to all involved in ensuring the service can go ahead, it has been decided that there will be <strong>NO</strong> physical services at either St. Paul's or All Saints until mid-February at the earliest. Instead Rev Steve will conduct an online service via Zoom at 10.30am each Sunday and alternate the venue between St. Paul's and All Saints. This Sunday the service will come from St. Paul's with just Rev. Steve and the tech team present.
There will be NO mid-week Holy Communion from All Saints.
Morning Prayer -we will Zoom this starting Monday 11th January.
All Saints WILL be open for Private Prayer on Saturday mornings between 10.00am and 12.00 noon and the Feeding Gainsborough food table will also be present.
St. Paul’s will NOT be open for Private Prayer for the immediate future.
We greatly value all the support which you have given us over these recent months and hope that we will see you on Zoom and when we are able to resume physical services that you will be will be able to join us again. 24th March - UPDATE
COVID-19
The Church continues to be alive and active, but our buildings must close
We are seeing a huge increase in the number of people falling sick with COVID-19. We must distance ourselves from one another and prevent the spread of infection in order to save lives.
Therefore, as well as public worship being suspended, this and all church buildings in the Church of England are now closed.
Our worship of God and our care for each other continue but cannot be done in this building.
Our website contains details of how to join others online for prayer, worship, study, and community life, see: www.achurchnearyou.com
The vicar/churchwardens/parish administrator of this church can be contacted in an emergency by telephoning 07766411090 or 07395942778 or emailing [email protected]
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . . Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
To protect the vulnerable amongst us, please do not leave your home except for essential trips.
23rd March 2020
This evening new guidelines are emerging following the announcement by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson of sweeping restrictions aimed at slowing the spread of the virus.
'It means all Church of England churches will close with immediate effect in line with the Government’s instructions. There will also be no Church weddings or baptisms.
Funerals at the graveside or in crematoriums can still take place, but only in line with the Prime minister’s Statement.
In a joint statement the Archbishops of Canterbury and York said: “In the light of the Government’s measures, announced by the Prime Minister this evening, we urge everyone to follow the instructions given.
“We will give a fuller statement of advice as soon as possible. Let us continue to pray, to love, to care for the vulnerable, and build our communities, even while separated.”
Further details will be posted here regarding Church opening hours, changes to restrictions and ways to get involved in supporting the All Saints' and Gainsborough community.
Please check back regularly for the latest information.
