On a return visit on 2nd October, the Mablethorpe band joined Ruskington for a joint practice. Some seasoned experts helped the session in which rounds, and call changes, plain hunt, Bob Doubles and Grandsire were rung (ed note: If you don’t know what they are why not go and meet the Bellringing Team!) A buffet contributed to a wonderful evening meeting old friends, making new ones and sharpening ringing skills. As the ringers present and countless others have benefited from the patient and skilful teaching of Cailin Meyer, and to thank her, she was presented with a spoon carved from a broken stay.
