The Bishops of Lincoln, Grimsby and Grantham would like to warmly invite you to participate in designing this year’s Bishops’ Christmas card. The theme of this year's card is the traditional Christmas carol ‘The Holly and The Ivy’. The Bishops suspect there are many budding artists, designers and photographers – perhaps even cross-stitchers – amongst you who may be looking for their next project. The submission date for entries is Friday 6 September. Please ensure that your design is an original piece of work and the size is no larger than 151 mm x 151 mm. Submissions should be posted to: The Bishops’ Office, Edward King House, Minster Yard, Lincoln LN2 1PU. Please include your name, parish, postal address and email address so that we can return your designs and contact the winner.
On Saturday 1st June St Andrew’s Church, Cranwell held their monthly coffee morning, which was well attended. It was lovely to see quite a few fresh faces, with a raffle and all those lovely home-made cakes. The charity attending this month to raise much needed funds locally was Cranwell Rainbow Guides. July’s Coffee Morning will be on the 6 July when St Barnabas’ will have a table to raise funds for the hospice. St Andrew’s Church will also be raising funds with their usual summer fundraising stalls.St Andrews Church participated in the village yarn bombing to celebrate the 30 Year Anniversary of the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance this month. Everywhere is covered in the helicopter theme, all done by the Cranwell Crafting Club ladies.

On Saturday 6th April St Andrew’s Church, Cranwell held their monthly coffee morning which was well attended, and it was lovely to see quite a few new faces, with raffle and home-made cakes as usual. We welcomed back Mark from Sleaford Museum with his ever-popular Mystery Location game. The Coffee morning in May will be on Saturday 4th May where there will be the usual charity stall to support. Easter weekend saw the as always beautiful flower arrangements appear in our lovely little Church, so much hard work by a very talented team of ladies from the village.Advance Notice: on Saturday 22nd June, Cranwell PCC will be holding a fundraising stall at the Cranwell Summer Extravaganza being held in the Village Hall. The event includes a number of craft, charity and fundraising stalls, competitions and refreshments. Watch out for further details, everyone welcome.
