The Easter Story, Our Story
We have just celebrated (or about to, depending on the publishing date of the Newsletter) Mothering Sunday, a time of spiritual refreshment during Lent. A time to remember Mother Church. We come together to thank God for his Son, and through him, our commonality as a Christian family. We have walked, prayed, and worshipped together as a Church family through Lent, seeking to understand our part in God’s plan. We will soon reach the most Holy of festivals, Holy week, as we walk with our Lord through its tumultuous events through to Easter. From Palm Sunday, through Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and into the dawn of new life on Easter Day. This is our time to focus fully on Jesus and how we, together, are redeemed through the Cross. I really hope that you will find some extra time to come along to the services we have planned for Holy Week. Perhaps find a new way to worship. These include Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, 3 Eucharists, Services of the Word, a Taize Tenebrae service (if you don’t know what it is, come along and see) as well as Services of Reflection and of course the 6.30am Daybreak service (breakfast served afterwards!). Details are at the end of the Newsletter. It is always worth repeating so we keep it firmly in our minds, that this is our time, we are an Easter People. Through Christ we have been rescued, redeemed, forgiven, and made anew. I pray that you continue to be blessed in your lives, in your worship as the North Lafford Church family, as loved members of Christ’s own family. Blessings. Reverend Al.

St Edith's, Anwick

Welcome to St Edith's Church. It is really good to welcome you to our A Church Near You website. We hope your visit will be a positive one.

We are glad that you have chosen to look at what is happening in our church and finding out about its history. If you have time please let us know what you think of the site. We hope too that you will want to visit the church and perhaps attend one of our services.

Safeguarding

"The parish of Anwick: St Edith is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lincoln’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."

With every blessing. Reverend Al.
