A welcoming church that lifts Jesus up by celebrating God's love in the community.

The Church of the Ascension is a medium sized, 1960's built, octagonal church seating up to around 85 people comfortably. It is attached to a substantial and well-appointed church hall, which sits to the rear of the large sanctuary area. Communion services are held twice a month, Common Worship being the usual format. A more informal Service of the Word and an All Age Family Service are held on the first and third Sundays of each month and in a five-week month a Healing service or an extra Holy Communion service takes place.

Morning Prayer takes place each Tuesday morning at 9.00am in the church. The hall has a stage and a well appointed kitchen facility. There are also a number of smaller rooms to the rear of the church sanctuary that are used variously for groups or are available to let.

The church has a small enclosed car park at the rear and some lawns with trees and shrubs as frontage.
