About Us
The Church of St Faith, Wilsthorpe is the youngest church in the Uffington Group of Churches, being just 300 years old! We celebrated our tercentenary in 2015 on the Sunday nearest St Faith’s day with a service led by the Bishop of Lincoln. A church has however stood on the present site for many centuries, and in the sanctuary there is a fine stone figure of a 13th century knight. The church is open daily.
Wilsthorpe is a very small village, and there is usually just one service a month (Holy Communion, Common Worship Order 1, at 9:00am the next service will be on Sunday 4th October, 2020 at 9:00am).
We have services at Christmas and Easter with the Group’s Dawn Service on Easter Day takes place in the Church and churchyard, which has an unobstructed view of the rising sun.
The Parish of St Faith, Wilsthorpe is one of the seven parishes which make up the Uffington Group of Churches. They lie in the South West corner of Lincolnshire, in the triangle between the market towns of Stamford, Market Deeping and Bourne. The other parishes are St Martin, Barholm-with-Stowe; St Margaret, Braceborough; St Thomas of Canterbury, Greatford; St Lawrence, Tallington; St Michael and All Angels, Uffington; St Andrew, West Deeping.
