If you haven’t experienced a Tenebrae service before and are not sure what to expect, Tenebrae is Latin for ‘shadows’ or ‘darkness’. Through this candlelit service, we encounter the Passion and Death of Christ as we pray through his last seven words and the personal meaning they have for us in our own faith.
