At the age of 19 (which was some time ago now!) I met some Christians the same age as me. In addition to their sincerity and friendliness, I was really struck by how excited they were about Jesus Christ. It was clear to me that their faith was, not only something that brought joy to their lives, but informed the choices they made. As someone who had been Christened and occasionally gone to church as a child (and thus ticked the 'Christian' box on a census) their living and active faith was a powerful witness to me, so much so that it made me question whether or not I was actually a Christian. However, it didn't send me into a spiritual existential crisis, rather it sparked an interest in wanting to explore Jesus for myself, to the point that I can now assuredly say 'I am a Christian'. 'Why am I a Christian?' Or, 'Why am I not a Christian?' Those are the questions I'm going to be exploring on Sunday morning at St Peter's and St Paul's. Whether you are a Christian or not sure, come along as we see what the Scripture says to this foundational yet critical question. - Jonathan
