About Us
St Guthlac's is a small, friendly and informal parish church in South Knighton, Leicester. The church building dates from 1912.
The parish of St Guthlac is part of the benefice of Knighton, alongside our partner church of St Mary Magdalen in the neighbouring parish. The two parishes were given separate identities by a pastoral measure in 2016.
The normal pattern of services at present is:
10.30 am All Age Worship (non-Eucharistic) - usually on the second Sunday of the month;
10.30 am Communion for All - usually on the first and third Sundays of the month;
10.30 am Sung Morning Prayer (Matins, according to the Book of Common Prayer) or Common Worship Morning Prayer- usually on the fourth Sunday of the month. At the same time our Church Club, a relaxed café-style church with activities for children, meets in the adjoining Holbrook Hall.
For additional services and any variations to the pattern consult the church noticeboard, the website of the parish at www.stguthlac-knighton.co.uk.
