FAREWELL TO THE VERY REVD DIANNA GWILLIAMS, DEAN
The Very Reverend Dianna Gwilliams is retiring today as Dean of Guildford after ten years of service. During her time, the Cathedral has welcomed more than 100,000 children and young people through education programmes, school services and outreach, enabled the ordination of more than 120 priests and deacons, welcomed tens of thousands of visitors, hosted a variety of film crews, and provided the focus for the County of Surrey in times of sadness and of celebration. Dianna will continue to serve as a school governor, as Patron of HomeStart Guildford and as a Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey. She is looking forward to being a more hands-on grandmother and supporting her husband in his business. This evening we have a chance to say farewell with gratitude for her service amongst us.
PRECES AND RESPONSES Bernard Rose (1916-1996)
CANTICLES Jesus College Service William Mathias (1934-1992)
OFFICIANT AND PREACHER
The officiant this evening is The Venerable Stuart Beake, Sub Dean and the preacher is The Very Reverend Dianna Gwilliams, Dean.
