Join us in the Cathedral for Choral Evensong, Fifth Sunday after Trinity on Sunday 9 July, at 6pm.
INSTALLATION AND VALEDICTION OF MUSICIANS
Evensong today is the final service of the Cathedral Choir Year. Towards the end of the service, we say a big ‘thank you’ to choristers, lay clerks and the Organ Scholar who will be moving on from their roles; and the Dean will admit several new choristers, who have served their time as probationer choristers, and are ready to come back next term wearing their new surplices, with which they will be presented today. We look forward to keeping in touch with former choristers over the coming months and the years to come. Some will be continuing to sing with the Cathedral Choir with changed voices, and others will be moving on to new places, opportunities and adventures. Our prayers go with them all, for God’s blessing in whatever lies ahead.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT
