PENTECOST
The name comes from the Greek pentekoste, (meaning ‘fiftieth’) and is celebrated on the 50th day after Easter. It is the birth-day of the Christian church and the start of the church's mission to the world. The symbols of Pentecost – including the dove, flames, wind, the breath of God - can be seen in abundance in our cathedral and the building is dedicated to God the Holy Spirit.
MUSIC TODAY
The Cathedral Choir is joined by Guildford Cathedral Singers for our service this morning.
